Under the Health Logic Professorship in Chip Innovation at the University of Manitoba, we are a group of physicists, engineers and biomedical researchers committed to incubating innovative research ideas toward scientific advancement and application development through broad collaborations, partnerships and educational endeavors.

Recent Lab news.

• Gongyu Fu has joined the lab and will start his Masters in biomedical engineering in January 2025.
• Maria Hangad has joined the lab as a lab technician and will start her Masters in Immunology in January 2025.
• Nicholas Palmerley, Dmitry Tomsa, Dr. Yang Liu, and Dr. Francis Lin all attended and presented posters in the international µTAS 2024 conference in Montreal Canada.
• The Lab attended and presented their posters at the 2024 Manitoba Centre for Proteomics and Systems Biology Symposium.
• Nicholas Palmerley, a PhD student in the lab, went to the Canadian Association of Physicists Congress and won second place in the Division of Physics in Medicine and Biology (DMPB) best student oral presentation competition.
• The entire lab attended the 2024 Manitoba Materials Conference and each presented a poster in the Poster competition. Dr. Yang Liu was one of the joint winners for the research associate category while Nicholas Palmerley got an honourable mention for the PhD category.
